Gangsta Granny

Year 5 students from Bishop Martin Primary School were on the hunt for the copy cat robber The Black Cat, who had stolen Gangsta Granny's biscuit tin of jewellery from the BIG Little Library as part of the BLL's latest workshop "CSI- Gangsta Granny."

Students had to locate and interview the suspects within Belle Vale shopping centre, as well as collect evidence. Using the clues given to them and using their CSI skills they then had to give reasons as to why PC Hickey had to arrest one of the suspects. Luckily the students made the correct deductions and the robber was caught and the jewellery given back to The BIG Little Library.

Gangsta Granny is the number one bestseller by David Walliams- Ben is bored beyond belief after he is made to stay at his grandma’s house. She’s the boringest grandma ever: all she wants to do is play Scrabble and eat cabbage soup. But there are two things Ben doesn’t know about his grandma.

1) She was once an international jewel thief.
2) All her life, she has been plotting to steal the Crown Jewels, and now she needs Ben’s help…

Both Bishop Martin and Gateacre students had a great time, and we can't wait to work together again soon!
