Reading in Languages

Throughout Key Stages 3 and 4 pupils read a variety of articles in English related to the topics they're studying. These include articles about the Spanish family, famous Spanish speakers and the Mediterranean diet.

In Key Stage 5 pupils read a numerous full-length articles pertaining to topics and grammar points studied, in Spanish. These include such themes as how the Spanish family has changed over the past 50 years, racism in Spanish speaking countries and the use of social media in today's society. In addition, we also study the famous play "La Casa de Bernarda Alba" (The House of Bernarda Alba) written by Federico Garcia Lorca.
